The ultra-low-cost carrier Breeze Airways has boosted its distribution by making its flights available for booking on Expedia Group’s booking platforms. In a statement issued August 1, the carrier indicated that customers can now search and book Breeze Airways flights on Expedia, Travelocity, Hotwire, Orbitz, and Trivago to over 170 routes.
Lukas Johnson, chief commercial officer at Breeze, said the company was excited to partner with Expedia Group, and the addition would let it expose even more people to the network of underserved city pairs connected by nonstop flights. Johnson continued that it would provide Expedia Group travelers with an even greater selection of airlines when booking travel for their next destination.
According to the article, Breeze Airways largely operates through out-of-downtown airports and destinations. It flies places like Provo, Utah, to Orange County, California, and from Charleston, South Carolina, to Hartford, Connecticut, among others.

Expedia Group did comment on how travelers might benefit from this partnership. Susan Spinney, senior vice president of trips partnerships at Expedia Group, said that 80% of all travelers start their search with an online travel agency. She further clarified that this cooperation with Breeze Airways will add a large number of direct services across underserved U.S. markets to their flight inventory. The addition will be purposed to help travelers who are visiting new places when booking with Expedia Group brands and thus afford flexibility.
The collaboration will allow deal-seekers to find flights in new ways with Breeze Airways and in Expedia Group markets where, until now, direct connectivity was either low or not at all available.
