Frontier Airlines pilot arrested at Houston airport, forcing flight’s cancellation

It was reported that a Frontier Airlines flight was canceled on Thursday after its pilot got arrested at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, Texas. According to the Houston Police Department, the pilot was 45-year-old Seymour Walker, who was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant for assault involving family violence issued by the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport Department of Public Safety.

Frontier Airlines said the incident happened before passengers had begun boarding flight 3195 from Houston to Dallas Fort Worth. The carrier has underlined that the circumstances around the pilot’s arrest were unconnected to his professional duties or personally anything at Frontier Airlines.

Well, no other pilot was immediately available, so the airline had to cancel this flight. Frontier said the airline offered affected passengers several options, which included a refund, credit, and flying on the next available flight later that evening. It is also giving each passenger a $100 flight voucher; as needed, overnight hotel accommodations are also part of its offer.
