Terrell Davis Is Considering To Take Legal Action Against United Airlines

United Airlines issued an apology to Terrell Davis in regard to the disturbing incident where he was handcuffed and made to leave the flight, raising several questions regarding accountability and airline policy. Many are left wondering if Davis and his family will be contended with the apology.

In an interview with CBS’ Good Morning Wednesday, joined by his wife Tamiko and attorney Parker Stinar—described the harrowing experience, which Davis termed a “disgusting display of injustice.” It began when the family was traveling from Denver to Orange County, California, to take their three kids to the long-awaited Disneyland.

He says he only tapped the arm of a flight attendant to seek the latter’s attention. Things took an unfortunate turn and Davis was accused of hitting the crew member. Law enforcement boarded the flight upon landing, ultimately handcuffing and removing Davis from the aircraft.

Davis gave a very emotional interview to Gayle King, in which he told her how humiliated he felt during the incident. He mentioned losing his dignity and even feeling powerless and embarrassed.

His attorney, Parker Stinar of Davis, said they are exploring options for a lawsuit. “They need to be held accountable,” Stinar said, calling for some real policy changes. He said an honest apology is merely the tip of the iceberg of what must be done.

After discussing with Davis and other passengers, Stinar issued his report based on evidence that there existed a false or misleading statement by the flight attendant. He said that the scars and trauma that happened as an outcome of the incident will stay with the family for a very long time. He stressed, adding that many other United passengers have been subject to similar wrong actions without such harsh consequences.

In light of the incident, United Airlines has taken a step forward to dismiss the flight attendant from his service pending further reviews of the situation.

Davis is now 51 and was one of the NFL’s most popular players in the seven years he spent with the Denver Broncos. He played in the NFL in the year 1998 and was MVP in Super Bowl XXXII.

Regarding this, people are waiting to see what measures will be undertaken so that such occurrences are avoided in the future and whether there will be changes.
